We did it! One hundred speeches in 100 minutes
Ipswich's first-ever Speakerthon. Our speakers ranged in age from eight to eighty, and they all managed sparkling performances on the theme of My Ipswich. Everyone kept to their minute, and we were treated to some fascinating insights into what people think about their town. There were speeches on topics as varied as Skippy the Kangaroo, witch-hunters, the air ambulance service, and Ipswich's twinned town in France. We're thrilled that so many shoppers and passers-by joined in. We even had a dog take part - every time we applauded, he barked furiously! .

We meet every alternate Thursday at 6pm for 6.15 at South Kiln, Felaw Maltings, Ipswich.

Our next meeting is on
