Who Joins and Why?

Ipswich Electrifiers come from all walks of life and include students, business owners, tradespeople and professionals. We share a common aim to help each other to improve our abilities to express ourselves but the reasons people join are also as varied as the their backgrounds.

Some of the reasons members join are Of course once members join they often stay because of the friends they make and the fun they have with us. Whatever your reasons you'll find us welcoming and supportive.

Are you all professional speakers?

No. The aim of the club is to encourage effective communication. Whatever your current skills we can help you become a better speaker, how you want to use those skills are up to you. Most members are not professional speakers but use their enhanced skills in their everyday lives; however there are some that have chosen to follow this path and you will find a great deal of help and support if you wish to be one of them. We don't wear red coats and Toastmasters International is not related to the red coated Guild of Toastmasters or to the Federation of Professional Toastmasters.
